Top 10 turntables of the USSR times

The best of the USSR electrophones. He has a heavy huge table, lacquered top panel, sides, front panel. An excellent vertack for the entry-level. Remember - Vega 002.

By the way, it has a very good heavy cast disc and comes with two 10-MAC-1 speaker systems. In general, the Vega 002 electrophone had a lot of modifications.

What are the advantages of this vertack - a heavy, massive Unitra G600V table, with an excellent, classic pasiko-roller drive.

Vega 002 is an entry-level electrophone for a small price. It used to be quite expensive. Millions of audiophiles and music lovers began their introduction to vinyl from this particular vertex - Vega 002.

In ninth place - Vega 109

As a rule, Vega 109 has an excellent Unitra g602 polish table, separate tone and balance controls, low and high pass filters, as well as switchable loudness, are provided on board.

By the way, Vega-109 has a stepped volume control. Its appearance is similar to Vega 110 - 120. Vega 109 is completed with excellent two-way speakers 15ac-101.

In eighth place - Aria102

Vertak is very good for beginners and intermediate levels. Of course, in terms of sound quality, it is inferior to the Corvette 038, Arctur-006, but overall a pretty good device.

Seventh place - Estonia EP 010

Great spinner with full automatic mince. Why complete? This is a turntable in which you can switch tracks just like on a CD player. True, it is not equipped with a remote control, and you have to switch tracks by flipping the buttons.

Of course, this is not for everybody. Estonia EP 010 makes a very good impression - such a rich, luxurious plastic, in general, looks cool. It is so thin, it closes on top with a protective polished, dark cover. Great!

Estonia EP 010 has a very, very cool design itself, this helicopter looks quite interesting. It consists, as it were, of two tonearms - this is a normal tonearm, where there is a stylus, and next to it is a second tonearm, where there is a track tracking sensor.

Sixth place is a Vega 110 or 120 turntable

Outwardly, they are distinguished by strobe lights - there is round, here is square. In general, Vega 110 and Vega 120 are excellent turntables with a good table for their category.

In fifth place are two players at once - Radiotekhnika 001 and Radiotekhnika 101

They use a good engine, the body is wooden, the table of the radio technology looks better than the Aria-102. At Radio Engineering we see a good wooden table, an abundance of metal, a minimum of plastic.

In fourth place - Arcturus-006

This is an excellent mid-level skewer. Looks very good with an S-arm and sounds much better. And by the way, it is better to replace the needle with a better one than the standard one. Arcturus-006 is a legendary model, it has a good direct disk drive.

In those days, this turntable was something of a fantasy and cost crazy money, but cheaper than the Corvette 038, which cost half a car. Arcturus-006 weighs about 10 kilograms, rather weighty.

In general, this device is worth your attention, by the way, it is inexpensive at flea markets and after alterations it sounds, well, at least like a good solid Haifai device.

In third place - Corvette 038

Corvette 038 is Likhnitsky's legendary turntable. It once sold for half a car. In Soviet times, Corvette 038, in general, could not be obtained.

In our time, again, it costs crazy money, something about 50 thousand rubles. Now, probably, the controversy is still ongoing, which is better - Corvette 038 or Electronics 017.

In second place - Electronics 017

This turntable features high rotation speed, minimum rumble and detonation. This is a great turntable with a straight arm, great motor, and is used on very expensive turntables.

This skewer has a rather complicated circuit; there is a kind of electrodynamic damping technology. Electronics 017 has a direct drive, plays even the most curved discs.

In the first place - Electronics B1 01

The debate does not subside, which is better - B1 01 or Electronics 017, but Electronics B1 01 is, perhaps, the best helicopter from the Soviet Union. The appearance is not bad, excellent anti-skating, the control devices are made not of plastic, but of aluminum.

Of the pluses, I would also like to note a good excellent heavy disc. Electronics B1 01 was developed by a group from Tbilisi, for which many, many thanks to them.

Electronics B1 01 has a belt drive, a powerful cast zinc disc, by the way, a rather inertial, low-speed electric motor, excellent mechanical decoupling of the chassis, with a fixed electric motor.

The die-cast top panel is made of aluminum with stiffening ribs. After reworking this engine, a gorgeous high-quality sound is obtained. This unit sounds much better than its mid-range Western counterparts.

Do not belittle Soviet technology - if you have straight arms and small modifications, you get good sound quality and save a lot of money.
