Charger for batteries from an electronic transformer

Good and small charger for batteries can be assembled from a regular 12V electronic transformer. As you know, an electronic transformer can be used in a variety of designs. This is a fairly good switching power supply, although the level of output noise is somewhat high.

By modifying the electronic transformer, you can build a good UPS with very impressive characteristics. In order to answer the question - can an electronic device be turned into a high-quality pulse memory for a car, we had to remake (rewind) the transformer.

The standard transformer in the secondary winding contains 8 turns, after measuring it became clear that the winding produces 10.75 volts, and I planned an adjustable charger of 0...30 volts.

The original transformer was desoldered, the secondary winding was removed and a new one was wound in its place. The winding consists of 23 turns, the winding was done with 6 wires with a diameter of 0.5 mm each, that is, we have a winding with a wire cross-section of 3 mm (this should be enough to charge even a car battery.
