A good battery, fits perfectly in the hand, good performance, for me a very convenient shell, a lot of things have already been installed from the program, a loud speaker.

Everything;) design, price, camera, speed, battery, I see what they write that is not enough for a day, I can not imagine WHAT a phone needs to do in order to miss it - I charge 2 times a week.

The screen, the filling, is good as a phone (you can hear me and me perfectly), price, battery, performance.

The phone is super. And the sound quality is 5+. Everything flies. The assembly is of high quality

I have been using it for 1.5 years. Calls, applications, games are unpretentious, battery - everything is fine.

Low price(took on aliexpress for $ 100) - good screen-speed -strong -there is everything that should be in a modern budget smartphone and even more.

    2 years ago 0

A bright screen, rich colors, a powerful enough processor, a 2000 mAh battery, all the games I played were launched without lags! The tests are going well for the same Gelexi with 3 mini 7068, Lenova got 7758, the build quality is amazing, the back cover does not creak as part of the whole case, even when I inserted the second SIM card I thought I would break all my nails, the external speaker is powerful and without distortion!

    2 years ago 0

The smartphone, I must say right away, is very good, but not perfect. The phone is large, thin, light enough and fits well in the hand, does not slip out. Its main pluses are its cool display and build quality. Also, a significant plus is a dual-core processor, which, I think, is quite satisfactory, not only for me. The battery is good, for 2000 milliamps, with my use it lasts for a day or in the evening I put it on charge. The device is very beautiful with its back, grooved cover, which is very difficult to scratch, and on which there are no fingerprints. Also on it there is a beautiful inscription "lenovo" and, below "SMART MUSIC". Also on the back is a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, which takes very beautiful and high-quality pictures in a well-lit room or outdoors. I am very pleased with her

    2 years ago 0

2Sim -Good screen -quality and loud noise in the external speakers, it really surprised me. -Wifi -Camera 5MP with autofocus (for shooting documents (text) - enough) -Android (for toys) -Nice body materials.

I do not even know what is missing, only if there is a flash. Already October 2015. 3g is constantly dying, began to freeze so that only disconnecting the battery helps. when making calls on the street in cloudy weather, the screen goes crazy, it is impossible to press the call disconnect button. lack of memory and RAM, the feeling that this device was designed for six months. because after 6 months. he began to piss off.

    2 years ago 0

everything justified, but of course the parameters were outdated, 512 M OP at the time of purchase (3 years ago) was ok, now give everyone 4G;) he didn’t know about it yet, browsers fly on heavy sites, yes, he didn’t know any other problems, but for me and this is not a problem;)

    2 years ago 0

The volume control and power buttons are thin, recessed, not ergonomically calculated and difficult to find. Once it glitched - it was turned on, but the calls did not go through (the network showed) - it was dangerous, but it was once - until the illness, I blame it on the fact that 3G is not in the whole city and he caught a glitch when switching.

    2 years ago 0

A bit tricky menu, but not disastrous

    2 years ago 0

Minus one - lack of RAM, resulting in inconvenient Internet surfing. If applications vkontakte, classmates, skype, youtube, etc. work without problems. Using VKontakte, etc. through a browser is not ice. The same problem is with viewing regular news through a browser. After using it for a short time, the browser closes. In severe cases, the phone freezes and only reboot helps. The problem with the browser is solved by flashing it to custom. 250 - 300 MB of RAM is released.

    2 years ago 0

for myself did not find !!!

    2 years ago 0

    No flash
    -512MB of RAM
But against the background of the price, I think all the disadvantages fade.

    2 years ago 0

well, to be honest, I don't even know what to write here, well, maybe there is no flashlight and front camera

    2 years ago 0

The lack of a front camera is a big minus for me. I really love to chat on Skype, from my device and take pictures with friends.
Also the disadvantage is the RAM, which is only 512 MB. And even then it is always incomprehensible with what is crammed.
Not everyone pulls heavy toys. And if it does, it is buggy.
And the smartphone itself often slows down.
The phone came to me with good firmware and extra, unnecessary programs I didn’t notice, although I’ve heard that initially a lot of unnecessary things were crammed onto the device. I bypassed it, so to speak.
I also noticed an unpleasant thing: I wake up in the morning, take the phone off the charge (it showed 100% charging) and it immediately freezes, I restart the smartphone, and it shows 90% of the charge, although I did not have time to use the device.
I also notice when the rest

    2 years ago 0

The battery, although 2000mAh, is enough for a day and a half (I understand that 2000 is not so much, but still it is not 1500 like some models from this price category).

Lenovo A800- youth, budget smartphone with good quality screen and sound. By expanding the lineup Lenovo does not forget about those who are in this moment does not have large funds to buy a phone, creating for them budget models series A.

You can learn more about the classification of models by studying the article:

V this review we will consider on the one hand a simple, but on the other - high-quality Lenovo smartphone IdeaPhone A800, which, thanks to its high-quality sound and good screen, can compete with the demand and competition among budget-level phones.

Let's look inside the box and see what configuration this smartphone has.

In the box with the standard package, in addition to the phone, we see the most common set of accessories: Charger, a 2000 mAh battery, a microUSB cable, an audio headset and a set of documentation with a warranty card.

Smartphone specifications

The Lenovo stuffing consists of a dual-core processor MTK6577, which has a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 512 Mb of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. There is support for microSD memory cards up to 32 Gb. The battery in the device at 2000 mAh is able to hold out freely for three to four days without recharging in the battery saving mode.

The thickness of the device's case is already too big at the moment - 11.5 mm, but we do not forget that this is still a budget smartphone entry level... The overall dimensions of the device are: 133.5 x 68.9 x1 1.5 mm. The phone has 2 SIM card slots. One of which works in GSM / WCDMA modes, and the second only in GSM. The Lenovo A800 comes preinstalled with an operating Android system 4.0.4.

Screen resolution this device is 480 by 854 pixels, which is already the minimum acceptable value for a 4.5-inch diagonal.

Screen

The screen of Lenovo A800 is made on the basis of an IPS matrix and, in comparison with TFT displays in its price category, gives excellent image quality, only on this basis, you can safely buy this phone for yourself. The display has wide viewing angles and is perfect for surfing the Internet and using the phone as a game console.

The sound in the smartphone is loud and of high quality, and one might even say excellent, as for budget smartphone costing $ 120. According to Antutu Benchmark 3.2.1 tests, the device scored 7397 points, which is just an excellent indicator, although it is quite typical for this processor.

The camera in the phone is one of 5 megapixels, with autofocus and for its five megapixels, it shoots very well. However, there is no flash, so the phone cannot be used as a flashlight.

Despite its thickness, the device looks normal and there is no special feeling of having a bar in your hand. The device is surprisingly good for its money. On the front side there is a Lenovo logo, a speaker, a 4.5-inch screen with an IPS matrix, and under it there are three touch-sensitive navigation buttons.

This review will focus on the phone, which is, perhaps, the best solution in the category "price-functionality-quality-autonomy"

Details under the cut)

Not long before buying this phone, after reading the forums and reviews on the network, I planned to buy the Hero V6888, which is also a pretty good device in terms of price-functionality ratio, but the quality and autonomy were somewhat repulsive, further confirming the generally accepted folk “ wisdom "about free cheese and about quality things that are never cheap. But a little later, while traveling around the world wide web, I came across an interesting device, where, according to the seller's description, there is a good 4.5" "screen, a camera with autofocus, all the necessary wireless interfaces, including 3G and GPS and a capacious 2000mAh battery, the above indirectly confirmed a large number of sales of this phone. After reading popular reviews about him, which were often laudatory, it was decided to purchase this phone.
Having entered a search query on aliexpress, I filtered the results by the number of sales, and Antion Store was at the top of the top, where I bought this phone. At that time, it cost me $ 106, the white version, including shipping, now the total cost for it has risen. The next day, the seller provided a tracking number, by which I eagerly watched the fate of my parcel, which was sent by Singapore post. And the delivery itself lasted 22 days, which is a very good indicator and the phone was already in my hands.
It was packed quite well - the box with the phone was wrapped with a foam seal, and the top was bandaged with scotch tape.

Immediately took out the phone and pressed the power button on the top of the phone, but no, the phone does not turn on, took out the battery, and its contacts were covered with a film, which I immediately got rid of. I turned it on and was immediately pleased with one pleasant trifle - the phone out of the box was already in Russian, and a little later I found out that it already had a ROOT, which I had not learned to install. Chinese seller well done, this is commendable! Well, now let's discard the sentiments and move on to the bundle. The box contained: a Chinese warranty card with some kind of brochure, a protective film on the screen (on the product page it is indicated as a gift), a USB cable, white headphones with a hardcore Chinese smell, a charger (5V, 700mah) with a flat plug, an adapter from a flat plug for an Orthodox outlet, and, in fact, the phone itself.

Appearance, assembly

The front design reminded me of something Samsung Galaxy Nexus, due to the convex ends at the top and bottom, and this if we compare the A800 with the black back cover. And with a white lid, it still looks more like the Pipo S3 tablet, which also has a black bezel and a white back case.
On the front panel there is a 4.5-inch display, above it is a slot for the earpiece, Lenovo logo and proximity and light sensors disguised next to it. There is no front camera. Under the screen are three touch-sensitive keys "Functions", "Home" and "Back" - they have a uniform soft lilac backlighting, which is clearly visible in low light.

At the top there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB connector for charging and syncing with a PC, and an on / off key, as well as a screen lock / unlock, it is slightly recessed into the case, and therefore it will be difficult for a beginner to “grope” for the first time "Blindly. The volume rocker is located on the left side, while the other ends are empty. Back cover white, has a pleasant-to-touch relief texture, thanks to it and the thin body, the phone lies in the hand confidently and does not strive to slip out of the hands. The assembly is good, the solidity of the case is felt in the hand, creaks and backlashes are not noticed. At the back there is a 5Mp camera with autofocus, there is no flash, at the bottom there is the Smart Music inscription, hinting at the presence of a special music chip in this phone to improve the sound quality, next to the slot for the main speaker.

The back cover is removed with some effort, due to the considerable number of latches around its perimeter, this moment is exactly compensated by the solidity of the case assembly, but when reassembling, you should press along the entire perimeter of the case so that all the latches work and there are no gaps left. SIM-cards are inserted on the sandwich principle, when one SIM is on top of the other. The SIM1 slot with 3G support sits above the SIM2 without 3G support. What angle to insert them - in the figure below the battery, it is schematically shown. To the right of the SIM slots is a slot for microSD cards.

Screen. Touch. Viewing angles. Comparison with Pipo S3 (IPS) and C6-01 (Amoled)
The display of the A800 is made using IPS technology, 480x854 pixels.
Cover material - glass, I confirm.

It has a good margin of brightness, right out of the box it comes with maximum brightness, and the picture is striking for its richness, it is higher than that of the PIPO S3, and somewhere at the level of C6-01. But in direct sunlight, the picture of the A800 loses its contrast, but at the same time remains readable. The touch sensitivity is good, there are no complaints, it supports 5 simultaneous touches. Below is a photo comparison of the screens C6-01 (Amoled), A800 (IPS) and PIPO S3 (IPS).
In PIPO S3, due to the use of cheap IPS technology, we observe low brightness and contrast, and at an angle it only loses contrast. The other two devices performed well, at an angle the picture practically does not change, but on the contrary, the C6-01 has an increased contrast and vividness of the picture. The picture on the A800's screen looks more natural.

Desktop, Menu, Software, Performance
Android 4.0.4 is installed on the A800, the device did not flash, I am writing a review from standard firmware that came out of the box. Firmware Life_A800_ROW_S105_121126. Root is available out of the box.
A proprietary Lenovo shell is installed on the desktop, there were no slowdowns when working with it, the interface is not overloaded with many buttons, but at the same time, convenience and functionality are thoughtfully combined here.
The market was installed initially, through which the Dolphin browser was loaded, where Flash immediately works on the sites, the videos on Youtube are spinning normally, and the Internet surfing itself is smooth, small jerks when scrolling through the pages were noticed only on "heavy" sites.
Despite the small by today's standards, the amount of RAM of 512MB, there were no problems with using the phone by browsing the Internet, watching videos, listening to music, reading books, taking photos and videos. But those who like to play heavy games may experience problems with this because of not the most powerful processor and a small amount of RAM, I myself am not a fan of playing games on smartphones, which I mentioned in one of my previous reviews, but judging by the reviews of A800 users, in GTA3, GTAVS you can comfortably play at minimum or medium settings, on maximum brakes and low FPS are already noticeable, the processor heats up and the device itself starts to freeze. Even when playing at medium settings in Vice City, a sharp drop in FPS can occur if it is raining or there is a large congestion of cars near you. In Real Racing 3, it is possible to play normally also with low settings and preliminary cleaning of the RAM.
As for video playback, everything is not so cloudless here either, 3 videos were uploaded - 1080p 8000kbps MKV, 1080P MP4 downloaded from YouTube, and 720P 4500kbps MKV. The first file was played back with an obvious slowdown of the picture itself, the second file just had a black screen instead of a picture, and the third file was played back normally and smoothly. Sound problems for everyone three files MX Player downloaded from the Market was used to watch the video. In fact, playback of 1080p video on this phone is not necessary, its screen resolution is lower than HD, so viewing 720p video will be enough here.
The Antutu test yields 9198 Chinese parrots. Below are screenshots.

Camera, Photo, Video
The phone has one 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, no flash. The quality of the pictures is normal, but in low light it is already more difficult to take a good shot - there is noise due to high ISO values and even focusing, the final picture may turn out to be blurry due to the slow shutter speed. The camera catches glare from light sources. But in the daytime, the pictures look very decent. Front camera no - so you will have to forget about video calls on Skype.
The device records video in 720p (~ 9200kbps, mpeg4, audio AAC 16khz 96kbps) in 3GP format, there is support for autofocus, but the overall picture quality is slightly worse than the video recorded on the C6-01, since the A800 camera produces slightly higher contrast than necessary. There is a small nuance when shooting video, many beginners cannot immediately find how to shoot video in HD. To do this, go to the video settings - there are 4 video quality settings: "Low", "Medium", "High", "Good". The beginner chooses "High" and naively believes that the camera will shoot in HD, but no! In fact, to shoot in 720P, you need to choose "Good" and you will be happy)
I don't post photos in daylight, because most mobile cameras behave well in sunlight.
Here I show a photo under artificial and low light conditions, where the flaws of the camera are well shown, which may be significant for someone, but not for someone.

The video is not mine, but the essence does not change - the quality of the recording is the same.

Wireless networks. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio
The device has on board Bluetooth version 3.0, k wireless headphones The BH-503 connects easily, the connection is stable through the brick wall, the sound from the music player goes to stereo, and you can switch tracks from the headphones. Calls are supported, if you press and hold the receiver key on the headphones for 1 second, the last dialed number will be called, but voice dialing from the headphones could not be activated.
There were no complaints about Wi-Fi either, its sensitivity is much better than that of the Pipo S3 tablet, but slightly worse than that of the Nokia C6-01, if the C6-01 finds 7 wireless access points, then the A800 finds 6 points. Through two brick walls from the router, the signal level shows slightly below average, but at the same time Internet surfing remains quite comfortable, there are no disconnections. The Speed Test was tested with a line of sight to the router.
Communication with space is working quite well, GPStest found 10 satellites after 45 seconds of search, the phone was lying on the windowsill.
FM radio without RDS support, the application starts and works without headphones, but apart from hiss you will not hear anything, as soon as you insert the headphones - a clear sound appears, since the headphones act as an antenna.

Telephone functions, communication, speakers, microphone
The А800 provides support for 2 SIM-cards, but 3G is supported only by the first SIM, with the second SIM it will be possible to surf the Internet only via GPRS / EDGE. The phone keeps the signal of the network normally, no breaks were found during the conversation. When you bring the phone to your ear, the screen instantly turns off, as expected, the proximity sensor works well. The volume reserve of the ear speaker is good, but for me, there is a little lack of low frequencies here, because high frequencies slightly cut the ear at full volume, you even have to turn down the sound, but the speech is heard clearly, the interlocutor at the “other end of the line” hears normally, the microphone works no complaints.
The external speaker is loud, the incoming call is clearly heard from the jacket pocket. The vibration is average in strength.
As for the sound quality of music, the sound pleased, there are no pronounced blockages in high or low frequencies, the sound is uniform and balanced by ear, maybe a special music chip is really installed here, as hinted at by the Smart Music inscription on the back of the case.

Battery
Perhaps this is the strongest side of this phone, having big screen and the ever-voracious Android on board, thanks to the 2000mah battery it keeps a charge with dignity. With intense
use (Wi-Fi always on, screen at minimum brightness,) A800 lasted 2 full days. With a more gentle use, it lasts for 5 days. This is an excellent indicator.

Outcome

Pros:
-Excellent screen
-Powerful battery
-Low price
-Good build
-Good selection of firmware

Minuses:
-No front camera
-Small RAM

The Chinese phone turned out to be very worthy, and after looking at its price tag, it becomes somehow indecent to scold him for the minor flaws in it. For those who are not experienced in games, for whom it is important to always stay in touch on social networks, to be able to browse sites, watch YouTube, listen to music and at the same time maintain a long autonomy - I definitely recommend this phone. It suits me completely, and while Benjamin Fan, deservedly received from me positive feedback, eats bread with caviar for my money, at this time I continue to enjoy using this phone)))
